In this article, you will learn more about the types of data that can be captured.
There are 4 main types of data that can be captured:
User Input
- After a button is added, Click ‘Capture Data’.
- The Action field should display ‘capture’.
- ‘Key’ is the attribute you want to measure, and is the attribute name that can be referenced elsewhere in the virtual assistant.
- Select ‘User Input’.
- Click ‘+ Next Step’, and select the next content node to bring the user to if the user clicks on the button.
- Click on the tick on the header bar to save the content node.
Text
- After a button is added, Click ‘Capture Data’.

- ‘Value’ refers to the result that will be returned to the bot if the user clicks this button.

- Click on the tick on the header bar to save the content node.

Number

- ‘Value’ refers to the result that will be returned to the bot if the user clicks this button.
- Click ‘+ Next Step’, and select the next content node to bring the user to if the user clicks on the button.
- Click on the tick on the header bar to save the content node.

Boolean
- After a button is added, Click ‘Capture Data’.
- The Action field should display ‘capture’.
- ‘Key’ is the attribute you want to measure, and is the attribute name that can be referenced elsewhere in the virtual assistant.
- Select ‘Boolean’.
- Toggle the True/False button appropriately.
- Click ‘+ Next Step’, and select the next content node to bring the user to if the user clicks on the button.
- Click on the tick on the header bar to save the content node.
